Come join us to for an informative meeting where Mr. Thomas Woodie, USACE Savannah Chief of Project Controls and Program Management, will provide an overview of the USACE Savannah programs to include upcoming AEC opportunities. 

Taking into account the valuable feedback provided on our recent survey, the SAME Savannah Post will be charging a fee to attend these virtual meetings which can be purchased online by selecting one of the appropriate tickets below (no charge for active duty/government employees for this meeting). These fees are used to pay for our SAME Savannah Post scholarships and also to support STEM programs. Speaker Biography

Thomas (Tom) Woodie serves as the Chief of a newly established Project Controls and Program Management Branch responsible for the project support and programs financial management for Savannah District since February 2019. Previously, Tom served as the Chief of Reimbursable Programs and was responsible for the execution of Environmental, Interagency and International Support (IIS), Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) and Reimbursable work within the Savannah District area of responsibility. Prior to assuming his duties in Project Management, Tom served as Deputy Commander of the Savannah District, from 2012 to his transition to Civilian service in 2015.

Prior to his assignment at Savannah District, Tom served in numerous Army Engineer command and staff positions in the United States and overseas.  Tom holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina (1991), a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri, Rolla (1998); a Master of Science degree in Education from Long Island University in (2000); and a Master in Military Art and Science degree from the School of Advanced Military Studies, Fort Leavenworth, KS (2005).
