SAME Savannah’s Annual Industry Day and Technical Training Event  

Technical training will be on 6/26/18. The Industry Day Ice Breaker and Small Business fair will be on the evening of the 26th. This is included in the price of registration for Industry Day.  The Industry Day will take place on June 27th. Registration for the technical training and the Industry day/ice breaker is separate. Please register and pay for what you plan to attend.

Training Day Schedule

Technical Training - 26 June 2018

2 tracks - registration at 7am, and sessions from 8am-5pm with breakfast and lunch included

Track 1- Construction Quality Management Class offered and led by USACE (CQM) (Limit 30 people)

Track 2- Architectural-engineering design classes - There will be six to eight one-hour seminars.  Professional Development Certificates will be given to attendees.  (Limit 30 people)  Link to speaker bios

Cost for each Track will be $180 all inclusive.


Young Member/Fellow Networking Event – 26 June 2018

All SAME Fellows, current Savannah Board Members & Young Members (members under 40) are invited to this new and exciting event format.  Cost is FREE to attend but interested parties MUST REGISTER for this event in advance during their formal registration. The event will take place on-site at the Marriott prior to the ice breaker from 4-5 pm in the General McIntosh Room.  Attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to participate in an interactive Q&A forum and network with current leadership, including Colonel Hibner (confirmed), Lt. Colonel Peterson (confirmed), Tracy Hendren, Chief, Engineering Division (confirmed) and Joe Schroedel, retired Army Colonel and Executive Director of the SAME (confirmed).  The group will head on to the icebreaker event at 5 pm from there.

4:30-4:45 pm, Q&A open forum
4:45-5:00 pm, Networking
5:00 pm, Depart to icebreaker


Ice Breaker and Small Business Showcase – 26 June 2018

The ice breaker will be held on the evening of June 26th from 5-7pm in the Marriott. Attendance for this event is included in the cost for Industry Day. During the event, Small Businesses (only) will have the opportunity to bring materials and represent their firm at the 6 foot long table. The number of tables is limited, so Small Businesses must register beforehand) All display materials must fit on the table top (ie brochures, business cards, giveaways) -- No banners, pull ups or easels adjacent or on top of the table will be allowed. We are trying to keep it simple and have a level playing field for all.

Cost: each Ice Breaker Table (Small Businesses Only) is $125 and comes with one attendee for the Ice Breaker only and does not include registration for Industry Day. If you would like additional tickets to the ice breaker, you must purchase a separate ticket for $25.


Industry Day/Ice Breaker - 27 June 2018

This will include program briefings from USACE, NAVFAC, and other government agencies. Schedule and speakers are in the works. The cost for this event includes attendance at the ice breaker, attendance all day on the 27th and meals on the 27th.

$25 Registration Fee (does not include Ice Breaker or Food) - Only available to Government and military employees.
