Call for Presentations for the 2018 Savannah Industry Day!

As part of Savannah USACE Industry Day, the SAME Savannah Post will provide a Technical Training Event. This event includes three-track Technical Training sessions (June 26th), which precede the Industry Day Ice Breaker and Small Business Fair. The annual Industry Day will take place on Wednesday, June 27th.  Note: Rooms at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront are available for $117 per night.
We will provide three (3) technical training tracks on Tuesday, June 26th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Track 1- International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Class – 8 hour training class by IFMA, which will prepare attendees for the national accreditation exam. (Limit: 25 people) Track 2- Construction Quality Management (CQM) Class offered and led by USACE. (Limit: 20 people)  Track 3- Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Classes – There will be six to eight one-hour seminars. Professional development certificates will be given to attendees. (Limit: 30 people)
CALL for PRESENTATIONS: Speakers are invited to submit abstracts regarding current topics related to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) at Military Installations. The Technical Training presentations will take a broad look at how the AEC community is advancing the “state-of-the-art” in design, construction, and repair/maintenance of military assets under the constraints of rapidly changing technology, security, resiliency, and the cyber requirements facing the industry. The length of each presentation session is expected to be 45–50 minutes; this includes Q&A.
Selection Process Call for Presentations opens: April 15, 2018 Submission deadline: May 14, 2018 Acceptance notifications: May 23, 2018 Final presentations due in PPT format: June 19, 2018
Submission Instructions All speakers must submit an abstract of their presentation. Each abstract must contain the following information: • Title of topic/subject matter (10 words or less) • Description of presentation (up to 350-words, be concise)  • Biography of the presenter or each panelist (up to 200-words)  All questions and submissions should be emailed to Marty Ray at
