Savannah Post SAME '09-10 Scholarship Information

SAME is encouraging and assisting qualified students who wish to pursue a college education in engineering, science, math, and related degrees.

The Savannah Post awarded three $3,000 college scholarships at the September 2009 lunch meeting; one each to Taylor N. Lucas, of Columbia, SC; Lavondra D. Foxx, of Savannah, GA; and Andrew M. Bersson, of Roswell, GA. Ms. Lucas is a freshman at the University of South Carolina studying civil/environment engineering. Ms. Foxx is a student at Savannah State University, Savannah, GA studying mathematics, and is working part-time for USACE Savannah District. Mr. Bersson is a freshman at the University of Alabama studying biology.
